Operations & Maintenance Manager

The Lakewood Water District seeks a dynamic, collaborative leader for its new Operations & Maintenance Manager. Under the direction of the General Manager and part of the senior leadership team, the Operations & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of the District’s water distribution system. The scope of responsibilities includes planning, coordinating, and directing maintenance and operations activities for the distribution system, distribution-related capital improvement plan development and implementation, emergency response repairs, and fleet maintenance for the department.

The successful candidate will possess a full complement of leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of the operations of a public water utility, including the construction, maintenance, and repair of the water distribution system, standards, rules, and regulations, public contracts, project management, and budget development. The District is looking for a skilled people manager, mentor, and leader with a demonstrated ability to invest in and bring out the best in their team.
