Operations and Maintenance

Lakewood Water District’s Operations and Maintenance Department installs, operates, and maintains the distribution systems required to deliver water services to District customers reliably.  Principle duties are related to the installation, repair, and replacement of water main pipelines, service lines, meters, valves, hydrants, etc.

The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for the following areas:

• Installation, replacement, or relocation of water mains, fire hydrants, fire line connections, and new water services for both domestic and irrigation.
• Maintenance and repairs of water mains, fire hydrants, water meters, service lines, and system control valves.
• Water main flushing operations, hydrant operations program, and system valve inspections and operations program.
