EPA’S New Life Time Health Advisory for PFAS Levels

Lakewood Water District understands the concerns of our customers regarding the new Lifetime Health Advisory Levels for PFAS from the EPA. PFAS continues to be an emerging issue. We have been addressing PFAS since it was first detected in 2016, and we will continue to be transparent on this evolving issue.

The District has and will continue to take proactive steps in safeguarding public trust by providing water that meets or exceeds standards set forth by the State Department of Health, Tacoma Pierce County Health Department, and the EPA, who are our partners.

We are investing in regular testing and adding treatment facilities where needed. For more information, please visit our website at www@lakewoodwater.org or call 253-588-4423 for any questions.
